  4. Location data, including precise location and, where enabled by your organization and permitted by you, background location for check-in and visit verification workflows.
  5. Security-related signals to detect abuse, fraud, spoofing, unauthorized automation, or policy violations.

2.3 Website Visitor Information

Like most website operators, Field Goose collects non-personally identifying information typically made available by browsers and servers, including browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date/time of each visitor request. Field Goose may also collect potentially personally identifying information such as IP addresses for logged-in users.

3. Permissions and Device Access

Depending on your device and enabled features, the app may request access to:

  1. Location (foreground and, if applicable, background) for attendance/check-in, route/visit validation, and operational workflows.
  2. Camera for photos, barcode/QR scan workflows, and profile/task features.
  3. Photos/media/files for selecting and uploading attachments.
  4. Notifications for task updates, workflow alerts, and account-related notices.
  5. Microphone only when media capture features require it.
  6. Local network access where required for app functionality, diagnostics, or integrated service connectivity.

You can control permissions in device settings. If permissions are denied, some features may not function.

  1. Provide and maintain core functionality, including authentication, attendance/check-in, forms, tasks, uploads, and synchronization.
